 PSB needs met

- provides education for the public through providing information on relevant topics and things people maybe unaware of

-keeps audience engaged by a mix of talking and music, means the episode is always changing and not just following one genre

How license fee funds BBC

- The number of people who watch BBC programmes or watch shows on their TV means a large number of audiences will pay the TV license fee and the BBC will receive a lot of funding and investment from those who pay for a TV license

- Radio is expensive to be on and as the show is quite talkative base it may not be very popular on the radio and may not fit the demographic of people who listen to the radio.

Distribution

-The podcast is available on the BBC such as BBC Sounds and also found on George's website.

George the poet

- I think the episode is very typical for the BBC as they often have quite factual shows or sources of information so a podcast educating the public on social issues to be aware of is a positive.

Curran and Seaton media theory

- Links to Have you heard Georges Podcast because of more socially diverse patterns of ownership due to George the poet's different demographic and upbringing so he will speak about different topics than normal BBC products. Also due to the podcast being solely presented and available on BBC sounds means it has limited ownership.

Livingston and Lunt theory

-Links to Have you heard Georges podcast due to the regulation of the podcast being over the BBC which means it can be regulated by OFCOM which could represent the other side of new media being harder to regulate.
