There is a relationship between lyrics and visuals, with the visuals illustrating amplifying or contradicting the lyrics.
There is a relationship between the music and the visuals, with the visuals illustrating, amplifying or contradicting the music.
Music videos are often constructed by the link between the visuals and the song plus the artist. 
Relationships are built between these in the video, and the close-ups of the artist gives them the representation and publicity they require.
Voyeurism is used to create the video's attractiveness, particularly to males, whilst intertextuality is often employed in humorous videos
Intertextual references, either to other music videos or to films of TV texts - these provide further gratification and pleasure for the viewers/fans.image
These images reference to feature films due to the top left includes the use of a billing block which includes typography at the bottom of the screen which represents the layout that films adopt in the opening showing and on show posters of who or what was involved in making the video. This presents the narrative of the music video as a short film.

References a horror/thriller film due to symbolic codes of a graveyard and holding a large torch at night, looking concerned face so facial expressions also create clear ideology. Women being dragged away and weapons and scenes of torture
